The equipment offered by Camtek is very effective, efficient and environmentally friendly. Pollutant gases can be removed to less than 1% of measured polluted inflows. Camtek is a specialist at the design and implementation of odour control systems typically required for wastewater utilities and odorous industrial processes.
In water treatment, purification can be achieved to allow environmental discharge within required limits, or to food grade standards.
Exhausted activated carbon material is safely disposed in landfill in accordance with local EPA procedures. This work is provided by Camtek as a client service, and ensures proper testing and disposal of exhausted media.
Camtek systems have been provided successfully into major projects such as the Northside Storage Tunnel in Sydney and the Brisbane S1 sewer tunnel. In recent times Camtek have been the supplier of a major odour control plant comprising biological trickling filters and activated carbon systems at the Warriewood Sewage Treatment Plant for Sydney Water.
In overseas work, Camtek have designed and built water purification processes for soft drink plants in Kenya.
In a host of minor projects, proprietary Camtek mobile filters have been provided for refurbishment work in Sydney sewer systems, and there is a large number of odour control units on pumping stations and sewage treatment plants Australia wide.
